Historic Pub and Dining
The Fleur de Lys resides in the beautiful village of Pilley, just outside Lymington. Serving superb food, local ales, wines and spirits, in a cosy, intimate setting.
Believed to be the New Forest’s oldest Pub, the Fleur-de-Lys first pint can be traced back to 1096 and has a list of landlords beginning in 1498.
As well as being a pub rich in history, she’s also one of the prettiest, smothered under a huge thick thatched roof and the beautifully refurbished interior is traditional, welcoming and serene. Vast open inglenook fires blaze in the winter and during the summer, laze in the pretty garden with a chilled glass of Rose, next to the original water well. Dogs are welcomed in the bar and snug area but not the main restaurant.
We look forward to welcoming you to Fleur de Lys. Please note, due to small, intimate nature of dining at the Fleur de Lys, children are not permitted in the restaurant in the evening. We are a very small pub that caters for an adult environment, during lunch service children are more than welcome, however we do not offer a separate children’s menu.
With our small, cosy restaurant we have limited tables, so we highly recommend booking a table in advance, especially for Sunday lunch, which is our busiest time.
We will always accommodate walk-ins if we have space, so do feel free to pop in if you are nearby.
To book a table please email us or give us a call. We are closed Monday & Tuesday and our phones are not normally answered, so please email or leave a message so we can get back to you.
We are open again with a new menu, please check the ‘menus’ tab for more details – please be aware these are an example of what we offer and items are subject to change as we make everything fresh with local produce which means availability can vary.
We have are also taking bookings for Valentines Day and have already had a number of bookings, so if you would like to book please do get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
We are open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through to Saturday. Booking is recommended as we have a small restaurant with limited capacity. Sunday lunch is served 12-4pm, booking is highly recommended.
We do not have a separate Children’s Menu.
Dogs are allowed in the Garden, the Bar and the Snug room for Dining, not in the main Restaurant.
The menus on our website are an example of the food we produce, not necessarily what will be on the menu on the day, as we buy daily – fresh and local produce where ever we can. All of our food is prepared in house and cooked fresh so our service times reflect this.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Fleur De Lys.
