Historic Pub and Dining

The Fleur de Lys resides in the beautiful village of Pilley just outside Lymington. Serving superb food, local ales, wines and spirits, the Fleur-de-Lys first pint being served can be traced back to 1096 and has a list of landlords beginning in 1498. This makes her the New Forests oldest Pub.

As well as being a pub rich in history, she’s also one of the prettiest, smothered under a huge thick thatched roof and the beautifully refurbished interior is traditional, welcoming and serene. Vast open inglenook fires blaze in the winter and during the summer, laze in the pretty garden with a chilled glass of Rose, next to the original water well. Dogs are welcomed in the bar and snug area but not the main restaurant.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Fleur de Lys…. the Grand Old Lady of the forest. Very young children are not permitted in the restaurant in the evening due to the small and intimate nature of dining at the Fleur de Lys. We are a very small pub that caters for an adult environment, during the summer when the garden is open and there is plenty of space to run around children are more than welcome.

Fleur de Lys wine and table

We keep our dining capacity limited to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. With a maximum of 30 diners all our tables become occupied at peak times. Sunday lunch is our busiest time, so please contact us via phone or email to book your table.

Inside Fleur De Lys

Useful information

We are open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through to Saturday. Booking is recommended as we have a small restaurant with limited capacity.  Sunday lunch is served 12-5pm, booking is highly recommended.

We do not have a separate Children’s Menu.
Dogs are allowed in the Garden, the Bar and the Snug room for Dining, not in the main Restaurant.

The menus on our website are an example of the food we produce, not necessarily what will be on the menu on the day, as we buy daily – fresh and local produce where ever we can. All of our food is prepared in house and cooked fresh so our service times reflect this.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Fleur De Lys.
